Backstory
My team at Lessen focuses on recurring service offerings and I am immensely proud of them. Their personal and professional achievements are some of the biggest joys I have experienced during my 12+ years with the company. We have a tenured group, with some of us lucky enough to have worked together for over a decade. The team members that we have added over the last few years who’ve have added a fresh and innovative perspective to how we approach our business are equally as important.
We always have joint successes; it is truly a one-team mentality in Soft Services. I love my job because of my team—simple as that.
Lessens Learned
I grew up on the Northside of Chicago in a large, Irish family that shaped my experience in negotiations, problem-solving, and empathy. The importance of hard work was instilled in me from a young age. I consistently balanced education, sports, and a job. Academics and athletics pushed me to always aim to be the best, while my job taught me patience and grit to make anything work regardless of the circumstances.
I started my career in facilities at SMS Assist, LLC in 2012 where I was an employee when we were no more than 60 people. I learned during my time there that every success is earned in facilities—that is what I strive for daily. I feel extremely fortunate to continue to be part of Lessen which has improved on the SMS Assist legacy by continuing to build, innovate, and empower our customers, vendors, and employees.
