Technician Reveals Pathway to Job Excellence

In a profile on its website, SkillCat recently featured Lessen Direct technician Vafee Karva, who discussed how working with Lessen improved his skills and grew his career. “Lessen has a great team of technicians who are willing to help new techs. If you have a question, just ask. Raise your hand and somebody will come help you,” he said.

Prior to working for Lessen, Karva drove a truck and worked in the sales office at Coca-Cola; getting into the trades offered the opportunity for greater work-life balance. That’s when he discovered Lessen. On his own time, Karva had already been learning appliance repair work; he managed to gain more experience by taking advantage of the educational resources offered by SkillCat.

Karva tells readers the key to success is being flexible to new challenges, maintaining humility, and finding new ways to remain motivated. “Every day in the field is a new challenge. It’s different every time—different people, different environments,” he said. “I love that about it.”
